Sierra Matrix, Inc. is a Silicon Valley manufacturing company supplying standard and custom NDT products featuring automation, data imaging and innovative solutions. The product line is tailored toward the use of ultrasonic and eddy current techniques to test, measure and image resulting data. Over half of our products feed test data directly to third party software and automated production systems. The product line includes manual and automated scanners, material handling, and custom systems engineering.
The company motto, "TURN IT ON AND SCAN" refers to the capability of our products to require a minimum of effort to obtain and store measurement data. In an effort to meet this goal, operator training, operator control complexity and data transfers are carried out efficiently. Fast and accurate recall of setup and calibration data allows the user to begin applications with a minimum setup time and effort. All equipment is computer based and utilizes Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 as the operating system.
The staff is comprised of several individuals having a broad set of computer, scientific and engineering professionals with an accumulated 120 years of background in the NDT, automation and products engineering technologies. The company was formed in 1990 and is located in a 3600 square foot facility in the heart of Silicon Valley in Fremont, Ca. The company enjoys an experienced set of precision machine component suppliers, a broad range of consultant specialists and the broad technical environment of Silicon Valley. The company was formed by M. F. Fleming, formerly CEO of Amdata Systems, Inc.
Markets served by Sierra Matrix include semiconductor, transportation, aerospace, petrochemical and utilities. Sierra Matrix is the exclusive licensee of the Dripless Bubbler Technology originally developed by Iowa State University and licensees other technologies from EPRI, Iowa State University and Thiokol. These technologies are aimed at the aging aircraft and aircraft engine basic materials testing.
Sierra Matrix is also engaged in in-house materials testing utilizing automated C-Scan techniques and imaging. Field demonstration and testing is available utilizing our own line of computerized imaging equipment, automated and manually operated scanning systems. Most of our products are available on a lease basis for field testing by test labs serving the markets outlined above.
